Brief Project Description | The MOBFOOD project aims to address the challenges associated with making the Portuguese food industry more competitive. This will be achieved by promoting new growth strategies based on strengthening technological, innovation and R&D capabilities, with a focus on developing new products, services, processes and technologies throughout the entire value chain, while reinforcing collaboration between businesses and non-business organisations. The project seeks to create a food sector that is sustainable, fully integrated, interconnected, transparent, resilient, safe, resource-efficient and consumer-focused. These objectives will be achieved through the implementation of solutions based on three main pillars: "Food Security and Sustainability", "Food for Health and Wellbeing" and "Food Safety and Quality", leading to the research and development of new processes, products and services.
